I purchased a townhome in Jessup, and the inspection report noted microbial growth in the HVAC system (surface of air handler cabinet only). The first thing of note was that Hydro-Serv was the only company that would actually clean the air handler cabinet after I called all around town for HVAC service and was starting to get frustrated. This was in addition to their more standard services of cleaning the air ducts and the dryer vent, which I decided to do for good measure.

It turns out that it wasn't just the air handler cabinet that was gross. The entire duct system desperately needed a clean after neglect from the previous owners, and the Hydro-Serv team made it as clean as humanly possible. The difference in the before and after pictures was staggering. Moreover, they had helpful tips about the cooling/heating setup to prevent the growth on the air handler cabinet again.

The team was very courteous and completed the work to a high standard, and I will use them again if ever needed. Hopefully this is the last of the air handler cabinet issue, but standard air duct cleaning is something that I expect to use them for in the future.
